Momentum Roasting Co. is driven by a desire to provide friends family and neighbors with unique coffee, all while helping to fuel passions and connecting the community. We are committed to helping you pursue your passions by sourcing, roasting, and developing the best coffees we can find. We offer delightfully nuanced coffees from all over the world!

“I have never been described as normal!”

Before I began my pursuit of quality, I had always covered the bitterness of poor quality coffee with honey and cream. My wife and I previously owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast when a guest referred us to a Specialty coffee roaster. We visited the roasting facility and experienced real high quality coffee roasted to perfection for the first time. As customers raved about the coffee, my interest in roasting was heating up which led me to invest in a very pricey hobby. With my new American manufactured SF-6 coffee roaster I was excited to share my developing affinity for small batch roasted craft coffee.

Fast forward a few years… we currently live in Boise where my passion for roasting has become a reputable skillset. Friends and family have enjoyed our coffee for years and I now want to share it with you! (In a loud deep voice) “Ladies and Gentleman! Now presenting… Momentum Roasting Company!”

I feel compelled to educate and share this love of coffee with everyone I meet. My goal is to roast unconventional coffee for unconventional people!

I have always been considered the adventurous type!

In my spare time, you probably won’t find me. I am energized by time spent in the mountains whether it be on my bike, skis or really…. you name it. When I got married to my Beautiful Wife Bridget, my Father In-Law Kevin came as part of the deal. His comedy career was on the fritz, but there was something to be said for that coffee he was roasting. He sparked a passion in craft roasted coffee that keeps me going to this day!

While coffee can be a delectable beverage, coffee in and of itself can’t hold a candle the experiences that coffee has facilitated in my life. I have spent time in multiple coffee roasting occupations, but coffee is not the highlight of these experiences. The irreplaceable part of coffee roasting is the people, the adventure and the experience.

My hope is that you would find the things that motivate and compel you to keep moving. And if that happens to be coffee… well I can help you with that!!
